Desert Faith!
A desert is a barren area of land where little precipitation occurs and consequently living conditions are hostile for plant and animal life. The lack of vegetation exposes the unprotected surface of the ground to the processes of denudation. About one third of the land surface of the world is arid or semi-arid. -Wikipedia
Is your life feeling dry and your spirit parched? Life can feel desolate at times even empty, seeming to be lacking growth and necessary resources. God wants us to know that this is a time of "Desert Faith." Faith that sprouts up, even during moments of nothingness! Faith that transforms from a tiny stream to a massive body of water. God wants you to thirst for Him. In moments that there is seemingly nothing around you that can effectively replenish, renew or rejuvenate- He wants us to know and believe that He is with us & can make something out of our nothing.
I don't know if any of you grew up like me, but I remember going into the kitchen after a long, tiresome day at school and opening the refrigerator and cabinets and yelling "I am hungry, there is nothing to eat!" Hours later after my mom came home from work exuding true tiredness and exhaustion, she would cook an entire meal. My siblings and I would pop our eyes at amazement when we smelled the aroma of food, then even more bulging of the eyes when we saw the meal on the table. As we enjoyed the prepared meal, we were silently thinking "how in the world did she do that?" As a mother and manager of my own home now, I can answer that question. Children are not providers; they are not charged with taking care of anyone or anything significant. Their reliance and comfort is with the parent(s) that provide for them. A provider can see beyond the perception of lack and avail what is needed for those in which he/she is providing for. In a nutshell, mama saw past what our little eyes could or couldn't see. Her eyes were fixed on making a way while our eyes were fixed on what we wanted but did not see. God is the same but greater and better at providing. He can cause the rain to fall heavy or lightly. He can cause vegetation and food sources to manifest and leave us standing in absolute awe! Desert faith is all about realizing that although you may not have what you want right now, trust that your Father will provide something, as He sees it, out of the nothing that you see. He is focused on manifesting your future in the natural as you believe and trust Him in spirit!

Isaiah 43:19
"Behold, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs forth; do you not perceive and know it and will you not give heed to it? I will even make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert!"
